House notes

As a professional antique dealer registered with SNCAO-GA since 2012, we are committed to ensuring secure shipments that comply with European Union laws on the circulation of cultural goods.

Delivery Areas

We ship exclusively within the European Union.

Any orders placed outside the EU will be canceled, in accordance with legal restrictions related to the export of cultural goods.

This policy ensures our clients a clear legal framework, without delays caused by administrative procedures outside the Union.

Export Licenses and Legal Framework

The circulation of cultural goods is governed by:

  • Council Regulation (EC) No 116/2009 of 18 December 2008 on the export of cultural goods,
  • Directive 2014/60/EU on the return of cultural objects unlawfully removed from the territory of a Member State,
  • and the French Heritage Code (Articles L111-1 and following).

Depending on the nature and age of the object, an export license may be required by the selling Member State before any export.

If necessary, ANTIKARTS will handle these procedures in accordance with the law.

Clients will be informed of any additional delays, typically ranging from 2 to 5 weeks.

Thus, every shipment is 100% legal and traceable, ensuring the client a purchase compliant with European law.

Shipping Methods

All shipments are sent by registered and insured parcels, with tracking numbers provided to the client.

Items are carefully protected to avoid any damage during transport.

Shipping costs include packaging, handling, and, if applicable, administrative fees related to export licenses.

Delivery Times

Average delivery times in Europe: 3 to 10 business days (excluding administrative or customs delays).

ANTIKARTS cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers or administrative authorities.

Returns & Withdrawal Rights

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, and Articles L.221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code:

The client benefits from a 14-calendar-day withdrawal period starting from the receipt of the item.

To exercise this right, a written request must be sent via our contact form.

Returns are at the client’s expense, via registered and insured shipping, in the original packaging.

Items must be returned in the same condition as when shipped, without abusive handling.

Legal Exceptions

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, certain rare or fragile cultural goods may be excluded from the withdrawal right when they have been personalized, issued with a nominative certificate, or subject to specific administrative procedures (export license already obtained in the buyer’s name).

In such cases, the client is informed before completing the purchase.

Authenticity Guarantee

Each item is delivered with its certificate of authenticity, in accordance with professional standards and the ethical rules of SNCAO-GA.

Liability Clause

ANTIKARTS declines all responsibility for damage caused by improper handling, unsuitable storage, or negligence after delivery.

Liability for the shipment ends upon delivery of the package to the carrier, unless the client has subscribed to insurance covering the full value of the item.
